Dear Friends,
With great sadness, I am writing to share the news that Nancy E. (van Wilgen) Sutton, age 77, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, CT, passed away on July 13th, 2026.
Born and raised in Branford, CT, Nancy attended local schools and continued her education at UCONN Avery Point; she then started her own business, The Card Coop Plus.
Nancy met John Sutton at a mutual friend's party in 1986. They were married on July 23rd, 1988. In 1993, they moved into the van Willgen family home in Branford, CT. Nancy was extremely proud of her Dutch ancestry. She was a member of the local garden club and was on the Center Cemetery Board. A proud "parent" of 4 English Setters and many rescue cats. She never missed a UCONN basketball game. In her spare time, she enjoyed all craft projects. She was a member of the Congregational Church.
