Faith Formation is a commitment to lifelong learning and here at FCCB we are all committed to just that. We offer multiple opportunities to explore and learn about our faith.

At this time, we are doing Local Mission Service Projects. We take a few days and work locally with our Community Partners and learn lessons about Loving God and Loving each other along the way. Our 2021 Mission Project had us Packing Backpacks for a Prison Re-entry Ministry, Putting Hygiene Kits together for St. Thomas More Chapel at Yale’s Soup Kitchen guests and Packing Backpacks for Students serviced by IRIS in New Haven. We also spent time working with Branford Builds, a program through FCCB which helps local homeowners with needed repairs on their homes and properties. We were able to help two homeowners with yardwork including taking out an overgrown tree and getting a new downspout put in to allow for better drainage and keep water out of the basement.

We had four incredible days with team building, service work, fun, games, food and were lucky enough to be able to use Killam’s Point as our home base. We adapted for Covid with having speakers come to us, keeping our youth outside, and keeping our numbers small.

2022 saw us working with the Youth Group from United Parish in Brookline, MA and continuing to focus on serving our neightbors. We were able to directly reach over 1000 people with our work. We worked with IRIS, Project MORE, St. Thomas More, the Community Dining Room, Columbus House and more!  We spent 3 days living in community at Killam's Point, learning how to manage projects different ways and learning how capable we all are at doing tasks we never thougth we could!
