Welcome to our youth ministry section of our churches website! Our youth ministry program encompasses many areas and you will find a calendar of fall activities for each area of youth ministry. It is our belief that our children are not only the future of our church they are a crucial part of our present church.
Youth and Family Calendar 2013
Middle School
We have an active middle school youth group. They are full of energy and enthusiasm. A typical youth group night (Tuesday Night) schedule might look like this:
5:15 -5:30 Ice Breakers and games
5:30-6:25 Main activity that is engaging and keeps them moving
6:25-6:40 a discussion on the day’s topic
6:40-67:00 Dinner (cooked and served by parents on a rotating basis)
There are many pressures on our youth these days. We try to help them work through these pressures and other issues in a spiritual, compassionate and caring environment.
Note: All youth group Tuesday events begin at 5:15 and end at 7:00 unless noted.

Middle School youth group meets every other Tuesday evening for friends, fellowship, faith and fun!
Food is always a part of our events!
High School
There is no question that our high school youth are extended more than ever before! There are countless activities and sports they can be involved in during their high school years. We strive to provide a program that gives something different than what they would get in the secular world. They learn to think critically about their faith, contemporary issues, and topics relative to their lives. They have opportunities to live out their faith in many ways.
Abraham’s Tent is a ministry where we work with the First Baptist Church and house homeless men for a week. We provide food and a safe comfortable atmosphere. This is done with the support of Columbus House in New Haven.
Midnight Run is a ministry were we deliver food and clothes to the homeless on the streets of NYC under the direction of a guide. You can check out their website Midnightrun.org
Homeless Night is an event where our youth will be sleeping in cardboard boxes outside to really appreciate what it means to be homeless. There will be speakers and activities as well.

Family Ministry
Families are a crucial part of our church family. In these busy times we realize that you have many options for activities. We ask that you give us the opportunity to be part of your children’s lives and spiritual growth. This is a wonderful time for fellowship and for your children to experience that church can be fun. We share in each others' joys and concerns. Our children who grow up in the church will often say it is an extended family.
